TESTIMONIALS:
Dear Debbie,

Words cannot describe how much I appreciate all the time, energy and focus you spent to help me prepare for my birth! You gave us the ability to take the birth of Gavriel to a whole different level.

Dear Deborah,
I really have no way to show you how much everything you did for us has meant. Before your classes, I was horrified at the prospect of giving birth again. But you were able to change that into a joyful energy that ultimately led to a birth that will always remind me that if we dare to imagine it, anything is possible. I will live my life in a different light because of this, and will always cherish the things you taught me
.

Hi Deborah,
I still remember that I was really worried about the labour while I was in class;.... relaxation techniques helped during the labour, but I believe that it helped me more during my pregnancy to overcome fear for the labour.
When I told Jorge that I wanted to deliver at home, he was not happy, but now he is fully satisfied that we decided this. He said he was more involved and I really want to encourage people who are thinking of delivering at home. It was a great experience for both parents. It was 11 hours labour and no tearing. Thanks so much for the classes.

Hi Deborah!
My water broke early morning and contractions began soon after. By late morning they were pretty intense but through the relaxation and breathing techniques we learned in your class I was managing very well. By the early afternoon, I talked again to the midwife and she felt we should meet at the hospital where I was already 9 cm dilated! Your class really helped me gain the confidence to trust my body and eliminate any fear I had about the process. Thanks for giving us the tools and confidence we needed for this beautiful birth!

Hi Debbie,
We had an un-medicated perfect birthing experience and Jason and I sincerely thank you for all of your guidance in the preparation for our birth. It was the most beautiful experience and our baby is so happy and healthy (and she was so alert right after). Breastfeeding has been amazing so far and I know it's because of her calm entrance into the world. Thank you again for everything!

Dearest Deborah,
I didn't have a chance to phone you after you left the house on Saturday.
There are no words to describe how supportive you have been during labour and birth. You truly helped me to make the birth of Zoe a unique and beautiful experience.
Thank you so much.
Caterina

Hi Deborah!
I wanted to let you know that the Universe knew exactly what it was doing!! John and I barely made it to the hospital! She was born in 10 minutes and my midwife arrived just in time! “Do you feel the urge to push?” My midwife asked me.  “YES!” I replied. And three pushes later, Celeste was born. I felt the whole, entire, amazing, miraculous, most euphoric energy I have ever experienced in my life. The power was awesome. I kept breathing, and let my body take over. I completely let go. It wasn’t easy by any means, but I had prepared physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for this moment all throughout pre-pregnancy and pregnancy, and I was ready. I benefited tremendously from your hypnobirthing preparation and I wanted to thank you for that!

About HypnoBirthing

What is it?
  • The HypnoBirthing Childbirth method is as much a philosophy of birthing as it is a well-designed technique for achieving a satisfying, relaxing, and stress-free method of birthing.

How does it work?
  • HypnoBirthing teaches you to release all prior negative programming about birth and learn to trust your body and work with it.  By freeing yourself of harmful emotions that lead to pain-causing, tense and unyielding muscles, the joy of birthing  becomes a reality. You learn to use the practice of deep relaxation while focusing on the birth experience you want.

What are the benefits of HypnoBirthing?
  • Address/eliminate fear of labour, birth and parenting
  • Be in a profound state of relaxation
  • Shorter, more comfortable birthing
  • Become in touch with instinctive wisdom
  • Avoid artificial induction and episiotomy
  • Faster and easier postpartum recovery
  • Calmer baby, happier mommy and daddy
  • Learn mind/body skills for a lifetime of health

Why hire a Postpartum Doula?
Having a newborn is a life-changing event. The services of a Postpartum Doula can ease the transition of adding a new baby to the family. The use of a Postpartum Doula has been shown to reduce the risk of mood and emotional disorders, and improve the overall experience during these important few months for parents. A Postpartum Doula can make a world of difference during this time when mothers need nurturing as much as their babies.
A Postpartum Doula:
  • assists with newborn care,
  • family adjustment,
  • is there to relieve you for a nap or just needed 'me time'
  • does meal preparation, errands and light house work
  • provides emotional and physical support for mama and baby during the fourth trimester (first three to four months of baby's life).
She offers education, companionship, and information on infant feeding, birth recovery, infant soothing, and coping skills for parents, making referrals when necessary. She is there to relieve you for a nap
One may choose to hire a postpartum doula to help with multiples, for extra support with siblings, or because other family and support members do not live nearby or are unavailable.
A postpartum doula makes a great gift from family members who are unable to offer the physical and emotional support the mother of a new baby needs.
